5 Day Devotional Sunday Sermon: You've Been Here Long Enough!

December 30, 2024

Let Go of the Past

  • Deuteronomy 2:1-3

  • Philippians 3:13-14

Devotional Thought:

The Israelites were called to move forward, leaving their stagnation and past mistakes behind. Similarly, we are invited to let go of regrets and past failures. Paul reminds us to forget what is behind and strain toward what is ahead. God's grace covers our past and beckons us to step into the new.

Reflection Question:

What past experience or failure do you need to release to move forward in faith?

 Break Free from Cycles

  • Deuteronomy 2:4-7

  • Romans 8:28

Devotional Thought:

God provided for the Israelites even as they wandered. Yet, He desired more for them than endless circles. God desires progress in our spiritual journey. His plans always work for our ultimate good, even when the path seems unclear. Trusting Him fully is the key to breaking unproductive cycles.

Reflection Question:

In what areas of your life have you been going in circles, and how can you invite God to lead you toward purpose?

January 1, 2025 - Happy New Year!!!

Move Toward the Promise

  • Jeremiah 29:11

  • Hebrews 12:1-2

Devotional Thought:

Just as God urged the Israelites to move toward the Promised Land, He calls us to pursue His purpose for our lives. We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who inspire us to lay aside every weight and run the race set before us. God's promises require action and trust.

Reflection Question:

What step of faith can you take today to move closer to God's purpose for your life?

Trust in God's Provision

  • Psalm 37:23-24

  • Matthew 6:31-34

Devotional Thought:

God sustained the Israelites for 40 years in the wilderness, and He promises to care for us too. We are reminded not to worry but to seek first His kingdom and righteousness. Trusting in God means believing in His provision and guidance, even when the journey seems daunting.

Reflection Question:

How has God provided for you in the past, and how can you use those experiences to trust Him for the future?

Embrace a Fresh Start

  • Isaiah 43:18-19

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17

Devotional Thought:

God is doing a new thing—can you perceive it? As we step into a new year, we are reminded that anyone in Christ is a new creation. The old has gone, and the new has come. Let this season be an opportunity to embrace the renewal God offers in your life.

Reflection Question:

What new habits or practices can you begin to grow closer to God in this season?
